Faculty
The excellence of the faculty of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics is evident in their public recognition and scientific distinction. NSM professors received numerous honors, including the President's National Medal of Science, election to the National Academy of Science and the National Academy of Engineering, fellowships from the Sloan and MacArthur Foundations, prestigious Guggenheim and Humboldt grants, Howard Hughes Medical Institute funding, designations as Presidential Young Investigators, and memberships and awards from professional societies.
